"The ice has started breaking up, gentlemen of the jury! The ice has started breaking up." - Ostap Bender (The Twelve Chairs, novel by Ilf & Petrov, published in 1928)

Founded in the vibrant heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, by Kristine Stasiulevich and Zura, Twelve Chairs Gallery showcases original works by contemporary artists, both online and at select locations across New York. Our gallery takes its name from an iconic book written in the 1920s, a period marked by an art revolution that fostered groundbreaking experimentation, personal expression, and innovation—elements that continue to shape contemporary art today.

We are committed to promoting innovative artists with academic backgrounds from the 20th and 21st centuries. Our diverse roster includes both emerging and established talent, working across a broad spectrum of techniques and media. Through curated exhibitions and engaging art events, we strive to amplify the voices of these prominent artists and bring their work to a wider audience.
