Zura’s artistic practice centers on the human figure, often fused with animal forms—a powerful metaphor for the instinctual and mythic layers of human nature. His work is known for its emotional intensity, symbolic complexity, and sculptural precision, inviting viewers into a visceral, dreamlike world.
In spring 2022, Zura debuted a bold new body of work in Williamsburg, capturing the attention of both local and international audiences. His sculptures can be found in public spaces across New York City, Atlanta, and Connecticut, and in prominent private collections, including that of renowned hedge fund manager and art collector Victor Niederhoffer.
Originally from the Republic of Georgia, Zura spent over a decade honing his craft before formally studying at the State Academy of Fine Art. He now lives and works in Brooklyn, where his Williamsburg studio serves as both a site of creation and a space for teaching sculpting classes.
Zura’s practice is guided by a philosophy rooted in beauty, love, and harmony—values that animate both his artistic vision and his approach to life.
