This sculpture honors one of the planet’s most endangered creatures—the northern white rhinoceros. With only two females remaining, the species stands at the brink of extinction. Zura’s rendering captures both the majestic weight and tragic fragility of this animal, its form shaped with reverence and restraint.
Originally created as part of a documentary project focused on the rhino’s plight, the piece serves as a memorial and a call to awareness—a sculptural elegy for a vanishing giant.
