In Domestic Fracture, David Datuna transforms the everyday into a layered reflection on modern life. Using shattered china dishes embedded into a framed wall composition, the work draws directly from his installation—a staged dishwasher overflowing with broken porcelain at an art fair—confronting themes of routine, disruption, and emotional dissonance beneath surface order.

The fractured tableware becomes both medium and metaphor: a quiet domestic implosion frozen in time, where beauty, chaos, and memory converge. As with much of Datuna’s work, this piece blurs the line between installation, sculpture, and painting—anchoring personal narrative within shared cultural symbols.
