In Femme Fatale, Zura fuses the primal and the elegant: an alligator’s head—ancient, unblinking, and impervious—crowns a refined female body. The work plays with the archetype of the temptress, recasting it as a figure of agency rather than object. The smooth, resilient surface of the resin amplifies the sculpture’s tension: soft curve against armored jaw, grace set against survival instinct. Zura’s economy of line and upright, deliberate posture create a figure that is at once seductive and sovereign, confronting the viewer with the knowledge that desire and danger often share the same silhouette. Available as a bronze as well, the piece underscores the timelessness of its theme.
