Twelve Chairs Gallery is proud to present Objects Trouvé, a thoughtfully curated exhibition of new works by New York–based SOLMISTUDIO, highlighting the studio’s latest explorations in collectible lighting, sculptural design, and material transformation.

Known for its discerning eye at the intersection of contemporary art and collectible design, Twelve Chairs Gallery brings together works that challenge the boundaries between function and sculpture. In Objects Trouvé, SOLMISTUDIO’s practice aligns seamlessly with the gallery’s curatorial vision—elevating everyday industrial remnants into refined, luminous objects that embody both artistic expression and purposeful design.

At the center of the exhibition is SOLMISTUDIO’s poetic approach to material reclamation. Treating the city as a living archive, the studio reimagines discarded elements of the built environment—reclaimed Hudson Valley bricks, raw steel beams, mechanical kitchen components, and atmospheric cloud forms—into works of warmth, memory, and reflection.

Featured works include JUICER, a reinvented mechanical juice press from the Objects Trouvé series. Transformed from a functional kitchen implement into a striking accent piece, JUICER exemplifies SOLMISTUDIO’s ability to elevate utilitarian objects into sculptural design—preserving traces of industrial purpose while reimagining them as collectible forms of artistic intrigue. The ethereal Claudio series introduces a softer, celestial counterpart, with cloud-like lighting forms that infuse interior spaces with dreamlike presence. Together, these works create a dialogue between utility and artistry, industry and atmosphere, permanence and ephemerality.

Curated as an immersive environment rather than a traditional presentation of objects, the exhibition invites visitors to experience how design can preserve history while imagining new futures. Through sustainability, craftsmanship, and sculptural innovation, Objects Trouvé reflects Twelve Chairs Gallery’s commitment to presenting collectible works that merge contemporary culture, fine art sensibility, and elevated living.
