Solmistudio x Twelve Chairs Gallery: Objects Trouvé | NYCxDesign

Join Twelve Chairs Gallery for an intimate exhibition of new works by New York-based SOLMISTUDIO. Transitioning from their outdoor installation last year, this indoor curation investigates the potential of repurposed artifacts—a collection of reclaimed bricks, construction beams, and clouds.

SOLMISTUDIO’s practice explores the intersection of industrial history and tangible light. Treating the city as a vast material archive, the studio recontextualizes the discarded elements of the built environment into objects of warmth and reflection. The exhibition features the Helen series—illuminated sculptures made from reclaimed Hudson Valley bricks—alongside the soft and celestial Claudio lighting series. Raw steel beams and mechanical kitchen equipment complete the installation.

Opening Reception / Designer Meet & Greet Thursday, May 14 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM RSVP required
